Is Our Business
Embassy Site Services are committed to achieving 100% CISRS workforce
we constantly look for ways to update and improve our practices and our management systems for Health & Safety. Environmental Standards and Quality Assurance are all are documented, structured, and certified to UKAS endorsed standards.
Our specialists ensure that staff, site visitors, the general public and your workplace are safe and secure at all times.
All of Embassy’s Scaffolding and Roofing Services are job specific, meaning you will receive a service tailored to your company or organisation’s needs, and our Health & Safety practices will be designed for your specific site too; each project is assessed individually, to ensure any and all possible risks are identified and that preventative and/or protective measures are taken, to avoid or reduce risk to the lowest extent as is reasonably practicable.
Embassy Site Services work with only the best to ensure our Health & Safety standards are upheld. With our internal and external safety consultants – including Scaffold Association , Simian Risk , NASC Safety & Technical guidance (TG20, SG 4) – we are consistently monitoring, recording and advising our clients, and keeping up to date with the very latest developments in HSE, Scaffolding and Construction Industry standards. Company training and qualifications records are regularly reviewed, and all training plans are submitted to the CITB for ratification.
Covid-19 has given us all even more to consider within the realms of Health & Safety, and we are of course adhering to the latest government guidelines on all sites.
Embassy Site Services provide extensive health and safety to all staff members.
Training
All stakeholders receive our Company SHEQ induction – which provides basic knowledge of Embassy’s strict safety requirements, as well as information on safe practice and procedures to follow while working for us – and our Employee Handbook, which communicates Embassy Site Service’s company mission, policies, procedures and expectations. These company handbooks are not passed and at Induction and then forgotten about – they are always available on site and are frequently referenced, to encourage staff to utilise this excellent tool.
Toolbox Talks are another effective reminder of the importance of health at safety. Delivered regularly, Toolbox Talks serve as a great way to implement task specific training programmes, as well as affirming our general practices.
Each team member’s training needs are reviewed at recruitment and then formally on an annual basis. Overall training needs are also identified on an ongoing basis (whether that be through risk assessments, accident investigations, site inspections or audits), in light of changes in legislation, and in line with the introduction of new equipment or technology. It is company policy that workers under 18 years old receive additional training and supervision as required, according to the outcome of an individual assessment.
Embassy SHEQ culture is endorsed by and executed from senior management level to every level, and all training is designed, and approved, to be suitable for all staff members, including those with literacy or language issues.

Embassy’s Senior Health & Safety Advisor
I fully endorse the new systems and procedures we are implementing and commit 100% of my support to senior management to ensure that Embassy are legally and safety compliant. As a company in industry we need to be fully compliant, but beyond that, as a company in this market, we need to be one step better than our competitors.
Our safety
Technology
Hard Hat (With Strap)
Our team utilises high-specification hard hats equipped with integrated chin straps, a crucial evolution in head protection for the scaffolding and roofing trades.
Traditional helmets can easily dislodge when a worker leans over a leading edge or is caught by a sudden gust of wind, creating a double hazard: a vulnerable worker and a falling object.
By eliminating the risk of a helmet falling off mid-incident, we provide our crew with life-saving protection against secondary impacts and offer our clients the peace of mind that comes with a site-wide commitment to the highest PPE standards.
Safety Goggles
We provide our scaffolders and roofers with high-performance safety goggles designed for maximum orbital protection. Unlike standard safety glasses, our goggles feature a full perimeter seal that conforms to the face, creating a localized "clean zone" for the eyes.
This is essential when working at height, where high-velocity winds can easily sweep dust, grit, or roofing debris behind the lenses of traditional eyewear.
By ensuring our team has an unobstructed, protected field of vision, we eliminate the risk of temporary blindness caused by irritants - a split-second distraction that can be catastrophic when navigating a scaffold.
High Vis
At Embassy, we recognise that visibility is the first line of defense on any active project. That is why our site teams are equipped with high-specification high-visibility vests that meet or exceed the rigorous ISO 20471 standards.
In the fast-moving environments of scaffolding and roofing, being seen is just as important as being secure. Whether our crew is navigating a busy roadside scaffold in low-light conditions or coordinating with crane operators and heavy machinery on-site, our high-vis gear ensures they remain clearly identifiable to everyone around them.
By prioritising maximum contrast and reflectivity, we significantly reduce the risk of accidental collisions and ensure that our team can be easily monitored by site supervisors, maintaining a high level of situational awareness across the entire project.
Safety Harness
At Embassy, we treat the full-body safety harness as the most critical piece of equipment in our inventory. It is the definitive "fail-safe" for every team member working at height.
While our scaffolding provides the stable platform, the harness is the personal insurance policy that ensures every scaffolder and roofer returns home safely at the end of the shift.
We utilise ergonomic, multi-point harnesses specifically designed to distribute the forces of a fall across the strongest parts of the body, such as the thighs and pelvis, rather than the waist.
By mandating a "100% tie-off" policy using dual-lanyard systems, we ensure that our crew is never unprotected, even for a split second, while transitioning between levels or navigating complex roof structures.

Tether Tools
We believe that safety isn't just about keeping our workers safe, but also those around us. That is why we implement a strict tool tethering policy for all work at height.
In the world of scaffolding and roofing, a dropped spanner or hammer becomes a dangerous projectile. Our technology uses high-strength lanyards and coils to secure every piece of hand equipment to the operative’s harness or wrist.
By ensuring that our tools are physically incapable of hitting the ground, we eliminate the risk of injury to the public or other trades on-site, providing our clients with a redundant layer of protection that goes far beyond standard site netting.
Gloves
We provide our team with premium safety gloves tailored to the specific demands of scaffolding and roofing. In our industry, hands are constantly exposed to abrasive steel tubes, sharp metal flashings, and rough-hewn tiles.
Our gloves are engineered with advanced, cut-resistant materials and reinforced palms to prevent lacerations and punctures without sacrificing the fine motor skills required for precision bolting or intricate lead work.
By prioritising superior grip and protection, we ensure our workers can handle materials confidently in all weather conditions, significantly reducing the "nicks and scrapes" that are often the most common cause of downtime on-site.
Steel Toe Cap Boots
Our team is equipped with industrial-grade safety boots featuring steel toe caps and midsole protection. On a scaffolding or roofing site, feet are constantly in the "drop zone" for heavy components like steel tubes, fittings, or bundles of slate.
Boots provide a rigid shield against crushing injuries while also featuring puncture-resistant soles to protect against stray nails or sharp debris.
Beyond just impact protection, our footwear is chosen for its superior ankle support and high-traction tread, ensuring our team stays sure-footed whether they are navigating a narrow ledger or a steep roof pitch in the rain.

PARTNER
Occupational Health
In order to facilitate occupational health for our staff and clients, we partner with Rapid Health And Wellbeing Ltd. a leading occupational health business in the construction industry.
After every health check, each member of our team receives a personalised health results record, clearly outlining their outcomes alongside practical recommendations for improvement. Our workplace health checks cover a range of vital screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol levels, glucose screening, BMI assessments, and general health checks for conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
Rapid Health also undertakes drug and alcohol testing to ensure we maintain a safe and productive workplace by minimising the risks associated with drug and alcohol misuse.
We test for a wide range of substances that could impair our team’s ability to perform the job safely. Some of these include: Cannabis (THC), Cocaine, Opiates (such as Heroin and Morphine), Amphetamines, Benzodiazepines (e.g., Diazepam), Alcohol, and MDMA (Ecstasy).
These substances can significantly impact performance in high-risk environments such as working at height, where safety is critical.
In addition to tests for our own team, we also offer this service to our clients, should they wish to take advantage of this testing for their own operatives.
